Airventure 2016 Day 2
We got to the airport just after 5am to get an early start on the day.
We were wheels up about 5:35 and it was spectacular. Smooth, calm, and cool.
We had to stear stay South of Dickinson due to a huge thunderstorm. (a little tough to see on the iPad with the reflection.)
Note the 37 knot tail winds at 11,500ft!!! We're movin now!
We stopped at Odegaard (K74) airport in Davenport, ND for our final fuel stop. It is just Southwest of Fargo.
At 13,500ft over flying Minneapolis St Paul.
On a long left base for runway 36L at Oshkosh! Hooray!
All set up!
Martin rode to Oshkosh with Darin but was flying home commercial. We took an Uber to get his rental car and hotel.
